Another book of the real German soldiers at the front who hate hitler himmler and the war. This time they are taken from Russia and placed into a Gestapo prison where you learn about how their own soldiers were treated for blasphemy against hitler. You begin to feel sorry for the prisoners who are condemned to death for saying they are losing the war. An incredible insight into this part of a war we never knew of. It’s interesting reading and still the Legionair is the character I like .

More of an loosely connected anthology almost anecdotal style. Banal narration of barracks cruelty.
