Holly Black, you’ve done it again. The massive conflict between the Crown and Judes father, who commands an army of his own. There are several surprises in store in this book, as well as a truly stunning transformation for Carden. I really loved this book, and I’m very sad the series is over. 10/10 would recommend.

I still really liked this book. No major downsides! It definitely could have been longer. This series really got me into political fantasy. As a final statement: I hope they all get some SERIOUS therapy after this

The Queen of Nothing by Holly Black is the final book in the Folk of the Air trilogy. This was a fast paced read for me. I felt like from the start we hit the ground running with Jude in exile, plotting how she can get back and assume her role as the queen of Faerie.

When her twin sister Taryn comes calling asking for Jude's help, Jude takes it and goes back to Faerie pretending to be Taryn. That doesn't last long as you can imagine, but now Jude is worried for Cardan's safety when she learn a her father plans to challenge him for the crown.

We get a much better relationship between Cardan and Jude in this book and it feels earned. Cardan is such a softie in this book, he's basically mush when Jude is around (or bossing him around). I love that we get a fairytale like story with a Curse and everything.

I really enjoyed this series as a whole. Not too dark, but not so whimsical it feels childish. I look forward to reading How the King of Elfhame Learned to Hate Stories, and honestly, any of Black's future works.
