The BFG was one of my favorite books growing up, so when I came across a copy I had to read it again. I love the relationship between the BFG and Sophie they are just so adorable together. I also love how the BFG talks, he never went to school so he does his best, but he gets words mixed up. Since the book was written in 1982, there are a couple small jokes that would not be allowed nowadays, but it really held up as a really good book.

Love this story! I read it aloud to my Grade 3 class and we all had lots of good belly laughs! I don't know if this is as good a book for kids to read themselves because some of the big made up words get overwhelming and tricky.

Childhood favourite, I found the French translation didn't do it justice, but still an enjoyable read

This was my absolute favorite childhood book! I read it so many times that my parents got tired of it, and I could recite half the book from memory!
