I don’t like scary/horror/thriller books and I was worried this might be, but nope, not at all. There were extensive pages of descriptions about minor things (someone’s appearance, catching a train, etc) but only a paragraph or so when it came to an actual interaction with Dracula. Also very anticlimax ending imo.

I did not think that I would enjoy this very much. I'm not sure why. Probably related to having a ridiculous misconception that with it being a classic gothic horror written in 1897 it wouldn't translate to my 21st century experience. But I was so wrong. The story telling is so compelling. A brilliant Halloween read!

Classics never disappoint. We are way beyong the era of the vampire mania, but still this book is held the throne of the best vampire book of all times, and that says a lot. A horror story, thrilling and full of action. The original is the best!!

Tried the audiobook version, couldn't finish because I couldn't concentrate & avoided it. Will buy the book later & actually read it!

Enjoyable but so wordy. The trope of stupid characters in horror seems to spring from this.
