If I could give this more than 5 stars I would. The story of Auggie is inspirational and moving! It’s a brilliant book and I couldn’t put it down!
I love the way it’s written first person giving different perspectives. It’s funny, it made me shed a tear and it entertained.
In my opinion...it’s one everyone should read!

Oh dear......
From all the good things I had heard of this book, I expected some kind of majestical masterpiece. What I got instead was some half baked writing with shaky characters, all hidden under the umbrella that the main character has a disability so it's "breaking barriers."

I didn't enjoy this book at first. I didn't like the style of writing. I found the characters annoying and somehow distant. I actually felt the deepest character was Via. I realise it *ought* to be Auggie, but it was Via that touched my heart the most, for some reason.
However, by about halfway in, I was totally invested in the story.
The final few chapters and the ending are very moving, but maybe a little rushed, in the sense that everything was pretty much nicely tied up in a lovely neat bow, all the issues 'resolved', and then it ended.
I sound a bit negative, but I think that is because my husband and daughter had raved about how it was the best book they'd ever read that maybe I expected too much and so I am basically wondering why I didn't find it quite as wonderful.
It is a good story and very heart warming, and I am glad it had a happy ending; and I'm glad I read it.

I loved it. I definitely loved it. When I finished it, I was kind of confused how much I would rate it. I was thinking maybe a 4, because it didn't left me to tears. But then again, there were times when I definitely wanted to cry, and right now, my heart is a little bit broken because I got to finish this book already. I love it, I really, really do!
I love Jack and Summer. I didn't trust Miranda at first, but now I do. I felt really bad for Via. I love them all. I love the Pullman Parents. I loved the ending. THE ENDING WAS NOBLE.
This book is wonder. A grand. A wonder, definitely. It made me think about my feelings and other peoples' feelings. It was definitely a beautiful book. I swear, read it. Right now. It's beautiful. Grabe.

This book was great. It made me cry though which isn't so great, but I guess says good things about the story and writing.
I found it hard to place the age of the kids however; it was stated that Auggie was 10 starting 5th grade but he and all the other kids just seemed way way older than that, in the way they spoke, stuff they did etc. But I might just be thinking back to when I was 10... perhaps this is what 10 year olds are like now?

I read this book with my 11 year old and 9 year old daughters. I loved it, and my girls enjoyed it as well. This is a wonderful story for teaching empathy and compassion. I definitely recommend it.
FANTÁSTICO.
