Well written, but it's pretty "happy pappy" garbage when it comes to studious astrological practice from a well-worn tradition. The assertions Woolfolk puts forward in this book have not stood up to the test of time and seem outmoded. The astrological practice the author ascribes to an trends towards toxic positivity if incorrectly applied. As others have noted, the tables in the back are useless as they are for sidereal, even though the author practices tropical.

very good book for beginners! it goes into depth and has lots of details, but isn't too confusing. i really enjoyed it when i first started learning about astrology.

Best astrology book for beginners and beyond
Comprehensive and very insightful. It’s so detailed, and so much to nerd to. Good to know there is a method to the madness mostly reduced to horoscope forecasts for sun signs. It takes 4.2 million years before another human being can have the exact same birth chart, that’s the best takeaway I got from this gem of a resource.
