DNF. Really basic stuff, would not recommend unless you have zero experience in this genre but even then I’d say there are better beginners books.

A lot of recipes if this is your jam you will have tons of crafts to do at home. This is less my cup of tea, I am more looking into the history of things or tips or tricks or insights. Very similar to the Green Witch, if you appreciated that one you will also like this one.

I am quite literally going to keep this on my nightstand. Very accessible for a new practitioner, with lots of basic, minimal recipes to build on, rather than full-blown, rigid rituals with lots of components. First resource I've found that actually explains HOW to compose an altar, and the difference between that and a shrine. AND, more importantly, what to do when you don't have a deity or spiritual concept to work with/toward, but would like a place to focus your intent and grow into.

I think you can tell from the page markers that I not only enjoyed this but intend to go back to it often. This is not the kind of book I’d normally pick up but it was given as a gift and I can see why. It’s really useful.

For my pagan and wiccan friends, this is very basic but a lovely collection of self-care focussed spells and rituals.

For everyone else, particularly those who aren’t into witchcraft/herbalism, I would suggest taking a look at this anyway but see the magic and ritual as framing and holding space for you. The majority of the book is about meditation, journaling and affirmations - none of which require belief to work. There are whole chapters on connecting with nature, nutrition, decluttering and hydration. Lots of really good advice wrapped in sage and sprinkled in quartz.

Loved this book! Can't wait to try some of the bath bomb recipes. I wish there had been some kind of conclusion. I feel like the book ended rather abruptly.

Very short and straight forward, with some really good spells and general tips on self care. I'll definitely be using this book as more of a reference guide than as something to read cover to cover.

One star is removed because a list of all the spells or activities could have been synthesized into a table for easy discovery.
