Reading Niel Gaiman's children book is like being a child again. Yeah, you have your driver's license, your exams are really close, stress is unbearable.... But here's a story about a dad going to buy some milk and it's easy to forget that you're not one of the semi-hungry, semi-bored kids waiting for an explanation that would at least make sense.
So yes, it's brilliant (it is Neil Gaiman after all) and it was so, so good in this period of need, I swear.

Where there is milk, there is hope.

Hilarious. Reminds me of Douglas Adams, but for younger readers. Will read again.

I am pretty sure Neil Gaiman can make a laundry list interesting.

We enjoyed the pictures in the ebook while listening to the audio version. A fun little adventure.
I enjoyed the wumpires and how the children didn’t believe their father at the end but then the picture shows them finding a pirate doubloon on the bottom of the milk.
