this book is different from my cute little romance books i usually read but i loved it, love when a man is possessive, in love, and would “burn down the world” for you and alex is definitely that man, ava is relatable in the way she loves and thinks, and their spice and tension, unmatched

I would say there's a mix with how this book goes. I would say it is both character and plot driven. The plot of how the story plays is interesting and really reels you in with wanting to continue reading it, but there is explicit sexual content. How explicit is gets shocked me, but I kind of knew what I was getting into when I read an excerpt online and I was interested in knowing how the rest of the book goes. I think for some of the character's stories I wish there was a little more about them and to a degree I felt rushed getting through their parts as it goes into a sex scene. In any case, I might read the other books in the series.
