"Look at me like I'm the only man here at this festival."  - Travis

I wasn't planning on reading this book because Mia Sheridan did a great job making Travis unlikable. However, I wanted to know if he deserved redemption!

This book and Archer's Voice showcased how two different people, Travis and Archer, can grieve in very different ways. Travis lashed out due to his father being killed and thinking that his father didn't want him.

Haven grew on me, at first I thought she was a bit shallow
because she was interested in Gage based on looks. Then I learned more about her and how she was afraid to settle down knowing she would have to face everything she was running away from. It's truly heartbreaking, but I think watching her brother get through it helped her realize staying wouldn't be a bad idea after all.

I didn't expect to cry, but
when Travis found his father's letter, I couldn't help it. He needed to know that his father did not abandon him or consider him second best.
Tori does not deserve redemption.
She knew about the letter and decided not to share it with Travis, on the contrary, she wanted Travis to take back the town.

I loved that this book updated on Archer and his family, and
gave Travis a happy ending as well, well deserved I would say.
