I haven't watched Euphoria, so I'll compare this book to Elsa Sjunnesson's memoir Being Seen. It has hard-hitting personal stories and essays, and you'll love the characters and their signing even in the audiobook version! The crash course even includes some DeafBlindness as it speeds through the checklist of banned books, so you'll definitely learn something from this!

Nigh perfect. Absolutely fascinating audiobook, too - the author recorded the sounds the signs make, and the sound plays as the dialog is read, to indicate a character is signing. I'm definitely going to need to check out a print copy, too.

I picked this up at the recommendation of Deaf, deaf, and hearing friends, but the Deaf endorsement meant the most to me. I'm pretty savvy to a lot of the history, but I learned a lot from this book. I appreciated the diversity within the school, and the diversity of perspectives presented. It didn't shy away from depicting difficult situations and complex dynamics.

An important contribution to the canon. Now can we get more Deaf books?
