J.K. Rowling always leaves me surprised for her story lines, how she develops plots and the characters that brings to light.

Although this is a screenplay, not an actual novel, I love how she paints everything in magic. It’s a story that I’ll never get bored if. ‘Fantastic Beasts’ is another masterpiece story, with another flavour: more mature. And I like how the author presents us the before of the Harry Potter world. I honestly cannot wait to discover more of this universe!

2022:

This was fantastical! Don't usually read screenplays but I'll read anything JKR writes. I especially love that most of my predictions were wrong, and I cannot wait for the third installment. Off to see the movie...

If you're a PH, read this, even if screenplays aren't your jam.

I haven't seen the movie yet but I have read the Screenplay.
I enjoyed reading this, it's so good for this time of the year and I missed the Wizarding World.
I love how we see more of Hogwarts and the professors like Dumbledore and McGonagall.
About the characters, Grindelwald was my favourite, we see so much of him and his personality.
Newt and Tina, adorable as always. Jacob and Queenie, was a mess for me, in the first book they were amazing but now they seem different, I didn't like at all. Nagini, I want more of her, I need to know how she ends up with Voldemort because she seems really nice. And finally Credence, that ending left me speechless.
I am ready for the movie!!!

Okay, let's start with the first thing, I did not like the ending. There were so many questions needed to be answered. If J.K Rowling is going to make the third book, then maybe the ending won't be so bad. But the book was one big plot hole. There was no plot too. Only backstory, which I love but it could in a more interesting way.
I rated this four star because I love J.K Rowling and her books. This was a good book to lead into another one. Hopefully, she'll make a third one. I cannot wait to go see the movie!
