Delightfully whimsical illustrations and an endearing heroine. Kids will relate to Molly Lou and hopefully take a page out of her book.

Now that my partner is teaching first graders, I am getting a much better idea of what I good children's book need to be. This is it! Beautiful pictures, repeating phrases, clear and valuable message. This one had got it all.

Love, love, loved it.

Such a fun book to read aloud. I chose to read this to some of my 4th graders as we are about to kick off the kindness challenge and today was World Read Aloud day. I like how Molly's grandma taught Molly to put a positive spin on things that might upset most kids. It made me think of the quote from the Poisonwood Bible by Kingsolver. "Sugar, it's no parade but you'll get down the street one way or another so you'd just as well throw your shoulders back and pick up the pace."

Very strange illustrations–the characters look like human bugs a little bit.
The book teaches self-confidence. I was grossed out that she put pennies in her mouth. Liked the book overall.

♡ Molly Lou!! Such a bright, confident, girl!
In love with the illustrations.

Fun illustrations surround a great story. Molly has a wonderful grandmother that teachers her to be proud of who she is...so she does and it serves little Molly quite well.

Wonderful book! Love the illustrations; they are bright and fun. But most of all, I love the message that Molly Lou teaches about being confident and embracing our differences. An excellent story to share with kiddos about bullying, too.

Great book about accepting how one looks and taken the most positive outlook on life.

YYYAAAAASSSSSSS!!! Yes! Molly Lou is amazing. Her grandma told her to be herself, and she absolutely is! Molly Lou is such an outstanding and inspiring character.

This is perfect for preparing kids how to handle themselves when another kid picks on them. Poor Ronald Durkin.
