Don’t really remember much…just that a series of bird hybrid human experiments is enough to get me interested. A fun and quick read, with a new thing every book. What I really like is that you can start with any of them, and you don’t have to finish the series if u don’t want to. Recommend!

very enjoyable and one of my favorites as a child. rereading made me able to see the flaws and lack of good writing I couldn't see. Still has a place in my heart, and would reccomend to anyone under the age of 11 but you don't have to reread it
This series is a fun easy read. It's meant for young adults, but I still liked it a lot. Crazy mad scientists trying to make the human race better and they almost destroy it what is not to like.
I first read this book the summer after sixth grade. That was years ago. It was my favorite book at the time and my most read in my library to date.
That being said, since rereading it as an adult with a broader library under my belt, I have to admit it’s disappointing to say the least.
It’s immaturely written, fast paced but lacking details, and shallow. The concept was ripped off one of Patterson’s other books geared for adults. The concept could have been amazing and incredibly well written but is unfortunately nothing more than an ignorant attempt at a tomboyish, independent, and quirky female protagonist.

The first time I read these books, I fell in love with them. I real the entire series in about a week. Then I took a breath and reread them, and realized that James Patterson's plot deteriorates to nothing as the series goes on, the characters get less substantial, while the all have a lot of potential, and the writing isn't nearly as great as it's cracked up to be. If you're looking for a quick, fast-paced read, then this will be great. But if you read any further than that into your books, then skip it. Not worth your time.

Fast paced and easy to recommend to reluctant readers, this book is about teens who have survived abuse to bond into a family. They also happen to be genetically mutated, part human and part bird.
This is the worst book I have ever read. Everything is wrong with it, from nonsensical plot, flat, boring characters, dreadful writing style and little or no substance overall.
This series came highly recommended by the tweens in my homeschool language arts class. I've never been able to finish a James Patterson novel for adults but figured I'd give him another shot if the kids liked it so much. Definitely not for me.
