In the eighth novel in the Myron Bolitar series, one of Myron's clients, a former tennis star, asks for his help when a mysterious post on a social networking site gets her into trouble. But this is just the tip of the iceberg for Myron because, as he investigates, he uncovers a larger mystery involving his estranged brother Brad and his wife Kitty. This book brings back many of the classic elements of the Bolitar series -- Myron's hero complex and inability to let go even when doing so would be better for him, Win's violent loyalty and black-and-white ethics, quirky characters like Big Cyndi and Zorra, and lots of sarcastic humor in the face of danger and otherwise. Myron is such a likeable guy, principled and strong yet goofy, somewhat naive and with endearing soft spots. His love for his family and unwavering loyalty to his friends and clients are always strong points but his relationship with Win and their different, yet compatible, approaches to problem-solving are what keep me coming back for more.

I liked this book, as with all the books in this series. Coben brought in a range of new characters into the life of Myron Bolitar. I enjoyed the book, there is not much I can say. I can't fault Coben's work. Quick and easy to read as always. He introduced Myron's nephew Mickey, who's series I must read. I loved the new characters, Kitty and Suzze. Unfortunately, the worst part was when Esperanza and Tom decide to divorce leading to the sale of MB Reps. The thing that sealed it for for was the sister of Alista, who played a very minor role, but somehow I felt attached to her, especially in the end at the final scene

This had probably one of the more shocking twists when I first read it, but upon re-reading it I was able to catch the subtle hints it was coming. And once that main twist is established, it makes the second smaller one obvious. All in all, a great capper to the Bolitar series with Bolitar front and center.
Now all that’s left is to re-read Win.

This has to be my least favorite Myron Bolitar book. I hated his personality in this one.
