campy horror is not my cup of tea - i want to preface this by saying i read this for book club and my opinion is definitely not relevant for fans of the genre. i wasn't a huge fan of the writing style, but the last fourth of the book was intense and horrific and kept me on the edge of my seat. also, when i heard it was queer i was expecting more romance (sorry not sorry) so i do wish there could have been a little more cuteness thrown in between all the murder and stuff.

The reality show side of this book was a lot of fun. The characters were caricatures of the typical reality show contestants but the backstory revealed towards the end was so heartbreaking. There were some truly funny parts, but it did get a little convoluted about halfway through. Overall it was an enjoyable read.
