I honestly don’t even know where to start with this one. It’s dark, heartbreaking, and hit way harder than I expected. I felt everything River went through. The trauma, the betrayal from the people who should’ve protected her… it was a lot. But she didn’t let it break her. And then there’s Mako. God, that man. He was perfect, and just right for her in every way. Their connection felt real, raw, and needed. This book is heavy, but so worth it. I’ll be recommending it to everyone forever.

H.D. Carlton never fails to serve.

This one wasn't for me. The whole book was nothing but one, too long story of domestic violence! My first read by the author and I hope it's not an indicator of how her other works will be. I've had high hopes for Hunting & Haunting Adeline

Not the best writing ever, but when it comes to these types of books you cant expect that anyway. It did a good job of highlighting how hard it is to leave
