This is my first read of this author, so I was expecting a more measured and in-depth approach to a complex issue, but instead found some quite alarming opinions and basic, well-rehearsed facts already in the public sphere. I can appreciate how one comes to those opinions (whilst disagreeing with such opinions), but felt they clouded the limited information provided even further.
This probably isn't a great read for those opposed to the death penalty, or for those looking for an in-depth exploration of psychopathy or other mental illnesses and the role they play in the lives and decisions of killers.
It got 1.5* as I found it interesting to explore a fairly intelligently and very wryly discussed pro-death penalty stance, thus challenging my own existing belief systems (no more than that, though, as it wasn't even slightly persuasive).

This book is informative and the author clearly has a lot of experience. However, i did not get on with his writing style and i did not the sarcastic comments tagged on to stories. I found them unnecessary and annoying
Talking with psychopath and savages beyond evil, by Christopher Berry Dee
Description:
Talking with Psychopaths and Savages - Beyond Evil: A deeper journey into the minds of the most cold-blooded killers by Christopher Berry-Dee is a good fit for those interested in gaining a deeper understanding of the psychology and behavior of serial killers and psychopaths, and how they differ from the general population.
My thoughts
Thank you to @inbookswedream for recommending me this book. This book was honestly insane. It was chilling narrative and it was so interesting to see the psychological reasons behind the most savages killers in the world. Facebook is definitely a must read if you’re not squeamish as this is a non-fiction book, he talks about many serial killers in here, I I fell in just under 300 pages so much was written. It made me wanting to read more. I will definitely check out the rest of the sauce as work as I love true crime documentaries and this book has definitely got me out of my slight slump I was feeling.

Although the facts and the stories of some of the crimes committed by these people were fascinating, I just couldn't get into the way Berry-Dee writes

Picked this up at the airport and really looked forward to reading it because of my interest in true crime.
The book is slow paced and rambles on quite a lot. The author fails to get to the point a lot of the time and veers off topic quite a lot.
Interesting read but not one I would jump to read again or recommend.
