1) I don't care about your opinion, Chris. I'm not reading a true crime story to hear your politics. It was clearly insane of me to expect actual interviews with serial killers from a book which says "interviews with serial killers" on the front.
2) This book actually dismisses human rights as "lefty".
3) I'm laughing at the irony of this man condemning murderers as the "scum of the earth" (how factual) then salivating over killing people and them catching fire in electric chairs.
4) I've heard "but I digress" so many times now - this whole book is a digression.
5) I am so happy this was free from the library because I'd be devastated if I gave this guy any money.

Awful. The author is incredibly unlikeable and comes across as an arrogant arse. I could have discovered most of the information in this book from Wikipedia. There’s no actual interviews with any of the criminals he writes about and the amount of times he mentions his other books is embarrassing. It’s also poorly edited with errors throughout the book. Don’t bother wasting your money or time on this.

Very informative book. As it is the inner look into what makes a person a psychopath he looks at more than just the facts. It is also a breathe of fresh air on how he talks about them. He still understands the mental health problems but also doesn’t defend their actions and calls them out for what they are and is very harsh in his language are not completely scientific to the point where he will lose readers. How he talks about all of the criminals in this book is very funny to, as he’s very creative with his insults.

It’s alright.. mostly rehashed information from cases but it is interesting that he has had correspondence with some Serial Killers. Didn’t really have anything new but it was okay!

This author is insufferable. Thinks he knows better than health professionals despite is lack of credentials. Immensely egotistical

"To kill as they do and cause such unimaginable and immeasurable suffering is, to these monsters, as easy as swatting a fly."

This book is not for the faint-hearted. No dark and horrific fiction even came close to being as chilling, terrifying and messy as the accounts of true crimes related in this book.

I have not yet read any of Berry-Dee's other books in the series, and I have to say that I found his writing refreshing. He doesn't mince his words, he's cynical and most importantly, he completely reduces the criminals to nothing but cowards who revel in other people's misery. For me, this is important, especially in the world where people are ever so ready to enable, forgive, empathize and admire the evil and the wicked.

Berry-Dee coined the term 'Murder Crossroads' to mean "a location where two lives meet with one of them coming to a brutal and terminal end, while the other person's life changes for ever, as do the lives of those grieving next-of-kin who are left to pick up the pieces".

I thought the book was very interesting - Berry-Dee had a lot to tell us than the usual true crime books featuring the famous killers. But, like he promised, the book did lead me to having sleepless nights, so I would think twice about reading his other books though I'm very much curious not to...

The one huge problem I have with this book is the sheer amount of typos and grammatical errors. Hard to take the book seriously when it is severely marred with horrible editing!
