This is definitely not the best dystopian series that I have read. Granted, I don't even view it was a dystopian novel since to me the idea of love being "illegal" doesn't quite add up and sounds a bit silly. But regardless, its entertaining and helps pass the time at work.

The book had 'Then' and 'Now' parts to show how Lena grew and adapted to the wild, but the time change came to an end right when the 'Now' part picked up in action. The switching back and forth was okay, some parts were more interesting than others but I understood why we needed both, since it's clear towards the end that Lena can handle herself much better. Also the ending was...bittersweet I guess? I would predict that Lena goes back to Alex as she was only with Julian as she thought Alex was dead. And he's not, so this means Julian will most likely be heartbroken. I hate love triangles but at this point *shrugs*.

Also one thing that drives me crazy, this was with the first book more so than this one, is the repeating of the definition of amor deliria nervosa...like ok v dangerous got it, we got it the first time...

2.5 stars.

I have to admit that Pandemonium is better than the first book, but the entire series still has a long way to go.

I understand why people who found the first book to be weak ended up loving Pandemonium .
It has its moments, of course. Some parts are very entertaining and intriguing. Unfortunately my excitement quickly faded.
This sequel has less of a dystopian vibe and is more of a survival story, which I really liked. The world-building was my biggest problem with [b:Delirium|11614718|Delirium (Delirium, #1)|Lauren Oliver|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1327890411s/11614718.jpg|10342808], so I was glad to see that it wasn't such a big part of the second installment.
The story is pretty fast-paced and there's plenty of action.

Another improvement compared to the first book was the main character. Lena finally stopped being a blank slate and actually started becoming interesting and almost kick-ass.
The side characters were still dull, with the exception of Julian, who still didn't manage to completely charm me.

I wasn't a fan of the two timelines; one is set right after the cliffhanger the first book left on, and the other one is set even later than the first timeline
It didn't get confusing, but my interest quickly dropped because of the frequent shifts back and forth between them. I didn't have enough time to get completely invested in the plot and that made me enjoy it less.

The story is nothing revolutionary for YA dystopia - polar opposite actually, it's one of the worst ones (if not the worst one) that I've read.
If you are able to look past the fussy world-building and somewhat messy plot, I think you'll enjoy it a lot more than I did. The second book works as a survival story and nothing more. Or possibly as an action movie.

I do think that this series has potential. Hey, I rated this 2.5 stars, right? That's not too bad, it's halfway towards 5. Half amazing.
Despite the many negative things I've heard about the last book, I will probably pick up Requiem on a rainy day.

WOW!!! That's all I can say at this very moment. I just finished Pandemonium and it left me on the edge of my seat, just like Delirium did.

Lauren Oliver does such an amazing job at painting a picture with words. I thought Delirium was great and action packed but boy, Pandemonium is EVEN MORE intense- if that is even possible.

A GREAT read. A wonderful story that unfolds with lots of twists and turns and ends with such a great cliff hanger!! You did it again Lauren Oliver!!

I need to start a countdown for the third book of the series :)

A must read for dystopian lovers.

This book was SO GOOD. It took me about 6 hours to finish it; I couldn't put it down! I love everything that Lauren Oliver writes, but I especially love this series. I can't wait for the third book to come out in March! I recommend this book to everyone!

Review corta:

Bendito Alex.

I didn't think it was possible to love the 2nd book in a series more than the first. But that has come true with Pandemonium! I miss Alex so much, but to see the transformation Lena goes through was heart wrenching and incredible. And the plot unfurls into something I wasn't expecting, which was great! And then, there's the ending! I mean talk about a jaw dropping, heart in your throat, crap your pants ending! LOVED this book.
