Lena's life has drastically changed since coming to the Wild, without Alex she feels lost, but she gradually begins to find her place. Then she is given an assignment that changes everything again.
The chapters alternate between then, when she first arrives in the wild, and now during her current assignment. Readers can see how Lena has changed and developed since joining the resistance. The twist at the end was exactly what I was hoping for, and I'm looking forward to the final book!

4.7/5
I honestly loved this book and it achieved so much as the sequel to Delirium. My only knockoff were how certain events unfolded or were explained. Still, can't wait to read the last in the series!

Gah! I remember that when I read this in middle school, I was SO Team Alex and HATED Julien. Now I’m like eh, they’re both . . . teenaged boys. But it’s still so fun!
This one definitely kicks up the dystopian vibe and has a lot more survival elements than Delirium. I think the dual timeline was a wise choice, even though it departs from the first book.
Loved the ending. I wish I could remember how I felt when I read this the first time—I wasn’t surprised now because I actually managed to remember it over the nine years since I first read this.
I listened to this one on audio. Sarah Drew, I love you, but you are just not Lena to me. I might actually “read” Requiem to get away from this narration.

Re-read this before starting Requiem. Glad I did, there were lots of little details I was missing. I think I enjoyed it more this time than the first time I read it.
2.5 stars. I'm clearly in the majority here, but I barely liked this book more than the first. It's just not good. Being better than the first book isn't saying much. I was expecting more world-building and more scope from the plot, but I was disappointed. The whole mom thing, which was a cliffhanger for the first book, was barely mentioned under the breath of this book. I still don't understand Lena's appear.
I'm really not looking forward to book 3.
I would only recommend to those committed to the series, or those who were hoodwinked into liking the first piece of hot garbage.
