I hat that Alex came to find Lena with Julian and I hate that he hates her. I feel like the book was very long and some moments were useless.
I don’t know about you but I like Alex a lot more than that boy Julian and it really bothered me the whole book that he wasn’t there

This series is so good it's killing me. AND THAT ENDING. OH MY GOD. I'M FREAKING OUT! I wish I could start reading Requiem right away but it's only arriving on Monday :(

3.5 stars. This was a quick and enjoyable read for me but not without its issues. The book has beautiful language but has plot problems and is predictable.
For one, i knew that that the kidnapping was a set up from the very beginning. Plus how did the people who set up the kidnapping know that when she was put in a cell she would be kept with her backpack and therefore be able to read the clues in the 'book of shhh' and have access to the knife in the umbrella (which was obvious was not simply an ordinary umbrella from when it was first mentioned in the book)?
I did enjoy the way the book jumped back and forward in time though. I feel the begining of the book would have been to slow if this device was not used. Wanting to know what was happening in the present was an incentive to read quickly and easily through the parts of the book that took place in the past.

Ha! I knew it. I knew Alex wasn't dead yet. He wouldn't just die like that, there wouldn't be any justice for the character. Anyway, I wonder what Lena would do now that he's back. I can't wait for the sequel! :)
It's a good thing I was home sick today, because I could NOT put this down. It's at least ten times better than the first one, and then ending KILLS me because now I have to wait for the next one.
Well played Lauren Oliver, well played.

WHAT WAS THAT FOR A ENDING? I NEED THE 3RD BOOK. OMFG. I HATE THIS ENDING. I JUST NO
