THE END

I JUST THE E N D

This book was a little disappointing after delirium. I don't know why, but maybe I expected Lena to be more pro active about finding/saving/thinking about Alex than she had. And her falling for a new guy so soon after what Alex had went through for/with her... I don't know.

I really, really liked this book, but the ending was sooooo predictable. I will give it 5 stars, but it's more like 4.5 because of the last page.

Since I skipped the first book, Delirium (thanks, public library) I didn't know what to expect when I picked up Pandemonium. Pandemonium is my first YA Dystopian novel, and it interested me a lot.

Thoughout the story, it has flashbacks when Lena was in the Wilds with Raven and her group while thinking about Alex while in the present, Lena goes to a meeting with the DFA, and gets captured with a boy named Julian Fineman, a rich kid who hasn't been though the operation to get rid of the dileria, aka love. After being captured by the Savengers and kept in one room for days, they finally escape to a homestead, where rat-man and Coin took care of them before they went to another homestead, this time the one Lena remembers, and they stay there for one night until they were captured by the SWAT team and Lena was reunited with Tack and Raven, while Julian went back to his father.

Tack and Raven told Lena that everything she went through was planned by Tack and Raven. Lena got mad and as soon as they left and went to a homestead, Lena snuck out to the Fineman residence, where she found a book in the forbidden library and found information about her mother. Running out the house after almost getting caught by Thomas Fineman, she goes to the hospital (she overheard Thomas on the phone-she was there finding Julian), where she slipped in a glass-window room and watched as they brought Julian in, ready for his execution.

But that didn't happen, did it?

Thanks to Raven, she burst in and shot Thomas Fineman, I forgot who she beat up, and Lena, Julian, and Raven ran outside, where Julian and Lena made promises to be together forever.

"Don't believe her." a voice says.

Lena turns around....and dun dun dun, it's Alex....dead boy Alex. SUPPOSED to be dead Alex.

In the immortal words of Stewie Griffin: What the deuce?

Thank goodness I waited to read this series. After this cliffhanger, I would be so angry if I had to wait an entire year to read the final book!

These books kind of remind me of the Uglies series. Especially the way that it looks they are headed.

3.5

*Contains spoilers for FIRST BOOK*

I did like it better than Delirium, but honestly it felt like such a rip-off of Uglies by Scott Westerfeld.

It was actiony, and enjoyable, but everythign was really convienent for the author. As in
When Alex and/or Lena's Mom showed up it was a big coincidence that they were IN THE EXACT PART THAT LENA WAS AT. Like, the Wilds are such a wild and vast place, what are the odds?
. Overall, I'd recomend it if you're one of those people who likes a mindless romance and/or action book.

I also really liked the character development of Lena, she didn't annoy me at all.

The ending irritated me; just like the first one.

this book it an amazing sequel to delirium. It's beautfully written, this book will truly inspire you. I recommend it to anyone who enjoyed Delirium. A MUST READ for all young teens, this book is truly incredible.

Amazing! I can't wait til Requiem comes out!
