Pandemonium did not live up to my expectations. At all.
First of all, I absolutely hated the then and now think. It's confusing and unnecessary. The author should have put all the "thens" at the beginning of the book and the "nows" at the end. Like a normal book!
I missed the characters from the first book. And Julian was NOT Alex. Which is sad. Alex. Alex. Alex.
Anyways, I didn't like this nearly as much as Delirium.

Beginning was a little confusing with the switching time periods but after you start to understand it, it will make more sense.
...i cant even imagine what the third book will be like.

Var ju lite förvirrad i början med allt det "now" och "then", men det kom jag in i rätt snabbt. Gissade till mig vissa saker innan de avslöjades, men är på något sätt glad att det var rätt. Slutet var dock... nej...
If I could, this review would just be one long fuuuuuuck.
So trilogies, yo. You know how in trilogies the end of the second book is when literally everything goes to shit? Guess what, this was the second book in a trilogy.
Guess what? I don't get to read the third book yet even though it is already out because I committed myself to reading the book for my book club first.
Fuck.
Pandemonium was told in an interesting manner, with most of the book being split between the time right after where Delirium ends and a little over a year into the future? I'm not entirely clear on that.
At any rate, Lena spends a good deal of time getting over what happened with Alex at the end of Delirium and learning how to be an Invalid and live and survive in the Wilds. I feel like this book was just so much in Lena's head that I had a hard time getting a really clear picture of any of the other Invalids she spent her time with, aside from Raven. Though that may have been intentional, given the theme of leaving behind lives from before.
And then there's Julian. I had a harder time with this development than I probably should have considering how well developed it was, but I think it was because of how torn Lena was even up until the final raid and her struggling to reconcile her feelings for Julian and her feelings for Alex.
And then there was the ending. And all I have to say to that is FUCK.

After reading the last page, half of me wanted to throw the book and the other half was crying with joy.
I don't want to wait til next year. But my god, was pandemonium great.
I love Lauren Oliver. She has a way with words and even the simplest things sound beautiful. She did well with this plot, and i cannot wait til the third book is out. Although, I'll be incredibly upset realizing the series is over.
Delirium has become my favorite book, and Oliver my favorite author. If you're a fan, Pandemonium wont let you down
