I just…I don’t know. This was not as good. I hated the before and now commingled timelines. It got messy and confusing. I felt apathy about the plight of the main character. Horridly predictable, down to the very last “surprise” plot twist in the last few pages.
I debated DNFing a few times. Probably should have and would have if I hadn’t been listening to it on audio while working…definitely would have if it had been a physical book.
I doubt I read the last one.

I'm a little surprised I like this. It has so many elements that can go wrong and things that I generally don't like: but I am intrigued. I appreciate Lena and her struggles, I am interested in what happens with her. She makes things happen. She reacts.

Also. I was gonna say I was happy there was no love triangle but I am squinting hard at the ending.

I didn't love Alex and I was so glad Lena didn't constantly mope about his "death" so I'm just suspicious about his return. How convenient.

Anyways, I do like Lena's crew and how she's changed. That's more than can be said for a lot of other YA-heroines.

The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is the ending. I saw it coming, but still...ugh!

Excellent sequel for Delirium. I'm excited for the 3rd book in the series!

Okay wow! Seriously like holy crap wow! I was so shocked by the ending of this book, I mean I sort of thought it could happen, but then after everything else I just let myself get sucked along then Wham! I liked this second book much more than the first, but good grief talk about heart wrenching thought provoking sadness sucking you into the story! I mean I seriously feel for Lena, how one girl can go through so much and still be standing at the end it amazing. I mean the next book requiem must be a doozy! I just keep thinking wow! The characters in this series are so deep, you don't think so at first, then they worm their way into your hearts and you just keeping thinking wow! All the feeling Lena goes through just to be slapped down every time she just about gets there you just want to cry for her.

I am in a Lena position. I cannot choose between Julian and Alex. They are both perfect, like this series, and are both amazing! I almost threw my Kobo at the end of it.

Loved it. I can't wait for the third book of this series! Finished Pandemonium on Thursday... I'm addicted. I want more and I want it now! How long do we have to wait for the next one!?
