Funny, weird, relatable. She is like an alien, and it was nice to see how content she was. The only oroblem was all of the normies around her.

The concept of exploring society and how to fit into it through a convenience store environment felt very fresh but the dialogue, plot and translation didn't live up to it. Alot of the thoughts on someones place in society, especially from a character who reads as on the spectrum, were interesting but the plot took some time to get going.

It was ocassionally funny, but most of the quirkiness that kept on getting called out in reviews seemed to come mainly from either japanese culture or a character who's on the spectrum. The dialogue felt stiled which to begin with I thought was meant to be a reflection of the narration but for nearly every character to sound that way both in and out of a convenience store environment it felt like bad translation. In English lots of the phrases were out-dated and out of place. They often didnt seem to fit with the character who was using them or the situation. I enjoyed the book but wish it had lived up to the concept and reviews more.

This book was very odd but a fantastic character study. I really enjoyed how the book reflects on those that differ from the societal norm.
