A story about love and life during a mandatory 'lockdown'. All the residents of London Lane are notified that they are required to undergo a 7-day quarantine. We get to follow along for the wild ride. This book has a little bit of everything - new love, one night stands, breakups, makeups, and friendships tested.

genuinely would not have guessed that the author was actually british. i don't have anything noteworthy to say except i much prefer the american puttering to british pottering. though i think i'd be pretty fucking annoyed either way since the author couldn't think of any other verb to describe what these characters were doing in their apartments during lockdown.

this actually wasn't that bad except that it didn't need to exist.

This cute story is one more in what seems like a huge influx of COVID-19-centered books out in the past few months. That said, the stories of the five groups of neighbors are entertaining and held my attention. Lockdown on London Lane was a fast, fun read.

I really enjoyed Lockdown on London Lane. I love multi-POV novels and loved that the common thread between all the storylines was being in the same building under quarantine. Reekles did a really great job of giving every character a unique voice and different trials and tribulations that seemed quite authentic. Since this all takes place at the very onset of the pandemic, I would love to read a sequel to this revisiting all the characters one or two years into the pandemic to see how they have fared.

TLDR - Enjoyable read.

Special thanks to BookishFirst, NetGalley, and Wattpad Books for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

It was cute. But honestly couldn’t get really into it. I did finish it but found myself bored multiple times.

Guys, listen. Do you enjoy books that will make you feel like you just drank that GOOD cup of coffee? Or maybe tea? Hot chocolate? Eaten a piece of amazing cheesecake? You get where I'm going with this, right? This book gives you that feeling. Such a cute story- as cute as you can get dealing with the serious plot point being this takes place during a pandemic (no, it doesnt specify Covid or anything- keeps it very vague, theres no mentions of symptoms or health issues or scares) BUT it did mention the lack of toilet paper and that was pretty realistic enough for me. This book takes place over a week of quarantining for differing tenants (and some non tenants who for one reason or another are now stuck with their tenant acquaintances). Each person has their own unique situation, each became loveable and relatable for the most part. I was a little hesitant to start this given the current state of affairs we're dealing with- pandemics right now can be triggering for some, even reading a fictional take may be like walking on eggshells. I am so glad I gave it a shot, and I'm glad i was given the opportunity to read it. This book left me feeling fluffy, hopeful, and excited to read more by Beth Reekles.

Cute, but I wanted a whiteboard with strings to keep track of how everyone in this book knew each other.

i think this felt like the book equivalent of going to an art museum and saying “oh yeah, i could paint that.” it was fine. entertaining, sure, but it felt like it was trying to do too much so then it didn’t do any of it super well

This was hard for me to read in the beginning but after a few chapters I actually loved it. Cute Rom-Com that I do recommend just get past the first couple of chapters and you will love it.

(I got this ARC from work) 3.5? Maybe? This was so fun! It took me a second to really get into but I really got into it. I was hesitant to read it because of the pandemic aspect (I really didn't want to read about the pandemic, in the pandemic, but here we are), but it was executed well and I was more focused on the characters than the actual pandemic. Imogen and Nate were hands down my favorite. Honorable mention goes to Walter White.
