I really enjoyed this book. Very easy read and provides a great perspective into Star Wars diplomacy. There were some spots I feel that were lacking further detail, however I guess that’s what you get with a Young Adult novel. I think it also could have done without the differing point of views (although I really enjoyed Mauls and Palpatine/Sidious). I was also hoping it would span a greater length of time so I feel like it did not greatly add to my knowledge of Star Wars. All together, it gave a new look into Padme and her work as a queen.

ITS OFFICIAL. I LOVE STAR WARS CANON NOVELS.
just being able to get a background as to what happened between movies, or in this book’s case, even missing scenes from movies, is amazing. any star wars content i’ll take it.

Loved learning more about everyone's favorite space queen. I had some issues with the pacing, like the pacing felt more akin to a movie than a book. Can't wait to watch the phantom menace now that I have a snowball's chance of telling the handmaidens apart.
