A large part of this volume is about an inappropriate relationship dynamic that the uncle undertakes while he was a pottery class instructor. Keep that in mind
Graphic: Adult/minor relationship, Alcoholism, Child abuse, Confinement, Domestic abuse, Emotional abuse, Gore, Infidelity, Mental illness, Misogyny, Sexism, Sexual content, Sexual violence, Toxic relationship, Violence, Blood, Suicide attempt, Death of parent, Murder, Schizophrenia/Psychosis , Fire/Fire injury, Gaslighting, Toxic friendship, Alcohol, Sexual harassment, Injury/Injury detail, Classism
There is content involving an adult and a teen that leads to inappropriate and dark things, there’s deaths or near deaths shown that are depicted in incredibly brutal fashion, even when we get back to PunPun in middle school there’s a kind of social psychological warfare between him and a classmate regarding someone significant from the first volume and a character causes great harm to himself. It’s a much darker volume. This volume might be too much for some people. I found it to be tough material but fascinating.

This was a solid step up from the last one. Both storylines felt well-developed and drew me in. I like the twist of Yaguchi actually being a nice guy. Honestly, I felt like he deserved better than Aiko. Yuichi's story definitely gets us deeper into the darkness I was anticipating. Still not quite bawl-your-eyes-out sad, but if we continue on this trajectory, we could totally get there. The one thing I really want now is a bit more clarity on what the messaging is. To some degree, it seems like it's about the different "gods" that people follow and how they lead them astray. But not really sure how the audience is meant to take that. Still feels like we're in the planting stage of the story. If it holds its promises when comes time for the payoffs, could see this being very enjoyable.

It's a story about very degrading lifelines. It is not for everyone. Probably why you see ratings varying from 1 to 5.
It can hit you in a disgusting or a very depressive (fuck i need to rethink my life and be more grateful) way.
