"Are you sure that's Loki? He seems kinda. . . One Direction-y."

Very tongue-in-cheek. It has potential.

The series got off a really good start and I'm looking froward to see the next issues.

Al Ewing has very quickly become one of my all-time favorite comics writers. His Loki, Agent of Asgard is witty, epic, mythic, poetic, and mindtwisty in all the best ways.

Apparently people loved this, but I was not one of them. I just didn't get it. I don't understand why Loki is represented as a faux teenage punk rocker, wow black nails make you so edgy. I don't want Loki to be righting wrongs, I want him to be mischievous and up to no good. The characterization of the avengers seemed too inspired by the films.

Overall, I was not impressed and only slightly entertained. The humor felt forced and the references seemed to be pandering to fan girls. I'm not a fan of the artwork either. It isn't the worst thing I've read but I probably won't be buying the next issue.

Seems like an interesting story.

I always admired Loki's smartness and mischief, but now he's also hot...
