Cheesy romance

i was NOT expecting to enjoy this but i loved it tbh. honestly shocked it’s my first 5 star read of the year, but i’m not too mad about it, well deserved.

rhys is so funny also bye

Step aside not like other girls, let us welcome not like other royals.

I was lowkey looking forward to this group. Bridgette was an interesting character and I was hoping there'll be some princess moments like tiny mannerisms or her being badass but apparently Ana Huang doesn't allow her female characters to be all that. Like having a spine? No ma'am. She was just Ava's character recycled if she was born in royalty.

Rhys I liked a little bit more. Despite depicted as this stone-cold, wall of a man; he was leagues better than Alex. Was he an exceptionally well written character? No. But did I like reading about him? Let's just say more than Alex.

This is by no means a superlative example of a romance book but it was what it was which is fun, like cheap candy. And I gotta respect it for that. The romance in itself, there wasn't much tension between the two, they saw each other- and they immediately wanted, which I loathe. I loathe insta-love/lust. Like where's the longing, the conflict, the angst? Surely not in this one.

Bottom line- Fun if you don't take it too too seriously
slow-paced

I'm going to be honest and admit this: I went into this book kind of worried it was hyped up to be something it wasn't, but I am very, very happy to admit I was wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved getting to see into Bridget's world and loved her character arc. I had a lot of fun with this, and Rhys Larsen did not disappoint

Meu Deus que livro CHATO
