dark mysterious sad tense medium-paced

The pacing and general vibe of this book felt much more in line with a Nancy book from decades earlier -- which is nice.

Fourth- or fifth-grade Rachel would have inhaled this one -- I can't believe I never read it when I was younger! This is honestly one of the most enjoyable Nancy Drew books that I've read as an adult: murder, history, antiques, New England. Though it's got the thin characterization and quick pacing of basically every Nancy Drew, I honestly really enjoyed it!

Spänning, halvt oväntad skurk, löser ett gammalt mord och helt enkelt en fröjd att få läsa!

Look at Nancy moving into the 21st century. Like there was a computer.

Nancy, Bess, and George go to this craft fair. But spoiler alert: they don’t do anything there but solve a mystery. I pegged who the bad guy was but I still enjoyed it. The build up was fun and I’m a sucker for a small town festival.

Also, Bess is me. Girl just wants to eat.

the plot twist with Julie is both very good and very obvious.
