Couldn’t get over the extreme quirkiness of the FMC

what a sequel!! writing and spice were way better than the first book, but plot was less unhinged. just not enough laugh out loud crazy things happened for me to give it a 5 and I’m not reading this series for serious life or death plot.

EDIT: forgot to include!!!! literally what is up with the squirrel? can you even have domesticated squirrels? kinda hated that whole subplot.

An enjoyable read. I enjoyed Willem's character but could have done without a lot of Penny. They way she spoke really bothered me. It felt like it was better served for internal dialogue than conversations spoken aloud. This book was cute but noting that made me want to insist my friends read it.

I read this hexing book in one sitting.

Did I plan it? Nope
Did I forget that I had laundry to do? Yes
Did I slightly neglect my SO? Maybe

Worth it. I thought Penny was a little annoying in the first book but I found that she grew on me in this book.
