Best Reading Month Ever?? —June Wrap Up || 20 books!

This was a beautifully done story in which Johnson shares their own experiences and the happiness, grief, love, and trauma that came with each one. They use their own life to help teach the readers about so many of the struggles they can experience. All of the anecdotes were relatable in some way. Every person can relate to what they are describing, and if they can't, Johnson does a fantastic job of writing these emotions in a way that you feel like you can relate.

The chapters revolving around each of Johnson's family members were so sweet and heartfelt, filled with so much love and compassion, nearly everyone had me tearing up. I greatly appreciated the highlighting of an important support network, whether it's your family by blood or by choice.

An absolutely wonderful exploration of identity, gender, growing up, and sexuality. So freaking powerful. Highly recommend the audiobook, which is narrated by Johnson themselves.
