This was a cute, wholesome story. It gave me [a:Becky Albertalli|7579036|Becky Albertalli|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1392414949p2/7579036.jpg] vibes.

A very heartwarming story. I think the biggest thing I enjoyed about this book, is that it showed it's ok to not want to move to feel accepted. I also enjoy being from a small town and enjoy it quite a lot. Sure it's not as easy finding your tribe and acceptance, but there is a way one way or another.

Phil really did something here with Small Town Pride. This story was very well focused and stuck solidly to the plot (which is where I feel The Gravity Of Us lost me). Middle grade really suits his writing style. 4.5

Of all of the things that I felt about this book, I can say that it really feels.... real.
