My review of all the comics of the book 2 series 1-4

This story takes us back to Horizon Zero Dawn and Aloy and Erend’s journey to get revenge for his Sister. They spend their time with Erend talking about the origin of his Ersa’s story and how she got to making enemies and Erend coming to terms with his loss.

I wasn’t sure why this comic has Aloy on the cover apart from to drive Horizon fans in. I believe that Erend and Ersa should have been on the cover which is a bit of click bait from the publisher but yah know whatever sells.

I personally found this story really boring as someone who’s played the game many times I already know the story but it was still nice to read about Ersa’s backstory a little bit. Makes me so sad we couldn’t have had more of her in the game.

I still really enjoyed the art and the series I always will be a bit of a simp for this world so I can’t complain and I did really think it was a good story all in all.

Selbiges wie beim vorherigen Comic, aber hier taucht auch die coolste Nebenfigur des ganzen Universums auf, von daher gibt’s noch einmal 0,25 Sterne mehr.

Very nice bit of background story

3.5-4 Mostly liked this but my issue with the art; why did every single character have a tiny nose? Like so many of those characters have round or big noses, but the artist made every single nose tiny and straight? And don’t blame that on the artstyle cause that’s not really an excuse.

Other than that, I liked the art as well as getting some Erend-backstory!

ARC Copy...I admit I was excited to OK-ed for the ARC because I am interested in the world of the games despite never have played it. However I am aware of the tribal future premise, Aloy and all the beasts are metal. Felt exciting to read and fun to read through.

I liked this better than the previous collection (even though I love Talanah) as I thought the story was stronger, even if it was just recalling things that we kind of knew already from playing the game. I do think it made it easier to understand the motivations of the characters and why they did certain things in the game.

Again, not sure if recommend this to anyone who isn't a fan of the games, but it's a fun addition to those who are.

Loved finding out more about Ersa and Erend. Seeing more of Aloy's interactions with familiar characters is a gift. I really appreciated the easter eggs of other known characters in the memory timeline.

Really enjoyed the art and covers. I had to really pay attention at a few points to catch where the memory timeline ended and the present actions resumed.
