Meh. Certain aspects of this book were great. I did love all the details of India such as the culture, the fashion, the food. I could very much picture all the sites.
The author had a very strange style of switching between characters in the same chapter. You could hear what all the characters where thinking at all times which really threw me when trying to also track dialogue and who was the narrator and who was speaking. It got the hang of it eventually but it was difficult to stay on track and tbh made reading this more difficult!
The characters were all kind of flat. I kind of didn't even care for Tina or Marriane. Tina's parents were the most endearing but they were exactly main characters?
I wanted to like this book a lot. I liked the base storyline, but this wasn't that well written and the characters were annoying. Not the best. Yet not the worst?
lighthearted medium-paced

This was a nice mismatch that followed the lives of Tina, her family and friends as they navigate relationships at a wedding.
Very little to write home about, little romance, little drama, little humour.

Super disappointing. I was hoping this would be a fun Bollywood version of Crazy Rich Asians (which I think was the intent) but it fell so short. The plot had promise but the boring, flat, whiny characters could not support it.

I loved the way the POV jumped around in this. Mrs. Sati and NoNo were the stars of this book.
