A 3 1/2 star book for most of it but then right at the end, after the story was finished, I discovered in the end notes it was actually a historical fiction with real characters and events. I would have liked to have known that info at the start as I would have read it in a different light. I did find it a bit confusing at the start when the chapters were jumping between four different sets of characters/time periods/places and I was often just getting into one part when it changed. An interesting read about events that I had never heard of. Definitely worth a read.

The story has a good plot but very confusing. A lot of characters that confuses me. A lot of changes in settings, such as in TIME and PLACE. There was a surprise towards the end that felt out of place for me. The story was disjointed and was not nicely translated. I think the author could have gone another path.
