Another brilliant neurodivergent protagonist at the heart of a fantastic book. Like Eleanor Oliphant, Molly struggles with social cues and the meaning behind the looks people give her. It was hard sometimes to read the way people take advantage of Molly and her differences. But ultimately this is a pretty feel-good story about found family and the value of true friendship.

I find the writing in books like this really clever, as the incricacies of the mundane (in this case the way Molly cleans a room) really get inside the main character's head. It's filled with emotion and brilliantly thought out characters, and I flew through it so quickly.

The plot is a little predictable at times, but threw in enough curve balls to keep me guessing. I'm excited by the idea that there will be more books featuring Molly the Maid!

Only minutes into this book it became one of my favorites ever! It is beautiful book about human relations with a murder sprinkled over. And the main character is an Eleanor Olyphant type character, you’ll either live her or hate her.

This book was great. I loved the character of molly, and how real she felt. And I loved that we were able to see through both her eyes and through a sort of omnipotent party to see what else was going on. I loved the clue style characters, and the fact that they were all complicated. Very good.

This is definitely an interesting book and a mystery that kept me on my toes. It was kind of hard at times to see what was happening to Molly. But It had a great ending and so I would highly recommend it as a great mystery thriller with a protagonist that you can root for. It was nice to see Molly find her people and place.

just wow wow wow

this book was probably one of my absolute favorite reads this year. even before learning of it online, i had suspected that molly could be on the spectrum and also might have ocd, but it was great to see this representation even if it might have made her an “unreliable narrator” to some. i was captivated from the very start and throughly enjoyed this book until the very end.

i nearly sobbed when learning the final fate of molly’s gran, but i also understand why it was done. it was just heartbreaking to learn. i kind of suspected that rodney was involved in some nefarious dealings and that juan manuel may have been as well but was utterly shocked at how deep the pool of deceit went. and the ending??? wtaf i had no idea that the first mrs black would be the true killer, although i am glad that molly left her to peacefully live out her live, even if shes rich, rodney deserved jail time more than she did. im really pissed that we never learned where wilbur went and for whatever reason, i suspected him to be mr black 😭 it seemed like something he would do and with molly being a unreliable narrator and also not always putting the pieces together right away, i wondered if she even knew. but i guess as far as we know wilbur is not mr black. and i was really thankful of giselle for helping molly out, they really both deserve happiness and peace now. also juan manuel and molly getting together is something i wanted since he was first introduced so im super happy about that.

all in all, great read and would recommend to anyone.
