I had a hard time really sinking into this book and it’s probably because of how much I love the book in its original format.
The illustrations were gorgeous and as the color was added in at the end I couldn’t stop myself from turning ahead to the next page.
My only issue was that each section/graphic felt so overwhelmed with words at times. Some were filled with so much while others were bare and it just left for a disjointed read even though I know and love the story.

I don’t know if it’s the fact I’ve read the book so many times or if the drawings really do change my intake processing, but this version of the book was simplistic. I read it very quickly and didn’t feel personally affected in the same way.
