This book had a huge impact on my love from books.
Will forever be happy that our teacher made us read these along with her after playtime everyday. She also showed us the movie, rolled in the TV and I was so happy.
I remember pleading my mum to buy me my own copy and I still have it to this day.

This is one of those charming, magical stories that immediately plant themselves in your heart and you read over and over no matter how old you are. I like this book quite a lot.

I really enjoyed this. I read this book in class in primary school, and it's been sitting on my shelves for a while now, demanding I finally re-read it. I really, really liked this book. I had flashbacks to re-occuring nightmares I'm sure came from this book, and the ending brought a tear to my eye. I'm not giving it a rating - I wouldn't even know how. But I had a great time reading it. I've annotated my copy and I will be giving it to Brittany to try. Maybe I'll seek out a nice hardcover to keep forever.

I read this in one sitting. I had forgotten how much I loved this book, though I could remember a vague fondness for it. It's such a great story.

Fun fact, I'm fairly sure when I was looking for last names for my character Dylan, I got Pearce from my bookshelf from this book.
