That was a sweet story about a boy who felt lonely and a little girl who also felt lonely. (This has more depth but it would be a spoiler)
The main theme in this book is time and how it changes everything around it. This theme gave me vibes of dark (the German show on Netflix), I love that.
The plot felt like it dragged for a lot longer than it should, especially since it’s a middle grade, and it should be (in my head this is how it should be) engaging for the kids to be interested with the story and the characters. But I still felt curious about how it would develop.
It was a non-linear narrative, sometimes I would be so confused since I felt that I skipped a few chapters, there was info that wasn’t told beforehand.
The characters felt like they got any to none character development, but it’s fine in my opinion since it’s more of a plot development type of book.
It was a lovely story that I saw the cover on Pinterest and caught my eye ever since, but didn’t pick up until now (a buddy read, which I loved to experience).

this book was cute. a little boring and confusing at times and i feel like i would have LOVED this as a kid. maybe i’m a little too old for it now but still, the story is lovely and i even shed a tear at the end… however, apart from the last scene, i don't think it will be memorable to me unfortunately.

This is an enjoyable youth fiction story. I was a bit surprised at the ending!
