I thought I was getting ghosts, but it turned slasher instead. It was more fun than his Wayward Pines series and the characters had a lot more life to them. Light on the western, a bit of survival fiction.
Bit uneven - some very good parts, some plodding and some just plain eye rolls. My initial reaction on finishing this book was "well, that was pretty grim" Don't expect a happy ending. I will give this author another go tho' - it was well written enough to pique my interest.

There has yet to be a book by Blake Crouch I haven't read that doesn't hold me by my fingertips. Although it too me time to get through this novel, it really wasn't that long in amount of reading sessions. Works been far too busy and I've been tired and haven't been reading much the past couple of weeks. But the little time I made, this story kept me entertained and engaged with a wonderful story.

Entertaining and engaging. Had several “come on now, that’s a stretch” moments. But I was willing to overlook that because the book flew along at a great pace.
