I just love Robin Wall Kimmerer's writing. Only she can write a book about moss that is engaging, informative, and somehow emotional too??? I am looking forward to spending more time looking closely at the tinier parts of the natural world.

Another lovely read from Robin Wall Kimmerer. She always makes me think about things in ways I've never thought of. Early on she states, "In indigenous ways of knowing, we say that a thing cannot be understood until it is known by all four aspects of our being: mind, body, emotion, and spirit." The essays go on to do just that. Thank you, Autumn, for this lovely reading experience!

Did I retain much of this book?
Not even close...but what I've reatined, I'm in love with!
Kimmerer narrating the book took it to a completely other level.
I love her passion about boilogy and how it's extremely tangible in her writing (and narration).
I love her view of nature; an equal with agency, deserving of resprest, permission seeking, gratitude, conversation, and the seeking of knowledge from.
I love her meandring storytelling, an exact replica my pattern of thinking and talking.
And lastly, I love how she taught me about a subject I (being the germ phobe that I am) would never dare to even contemplate.
I feel this is way more scientific and not as well crafted as Braiding Sweetgrass, but I loved it nonetheless.
