What a ride...! Neel Latchman - Pioneer of getting husbands unexpected... gifts😅 (see: Chapter 20)

Move over dark romance writers, Neel Latchman deserves the crown for these books!

In this captivating macabre sequel to Broken Toys, I'm Broken Too picks up four years after the Salt Pines Acres massacre. The town is seeing what appears to be a copycat killer. Readers will be enthralled with this edge-of-your-seat, psychological thriller jouney to come full circle on the who, what's and why's of the first book, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. This book is a real... ahem... *Paige* turner.

Always able to articulate beautifully and true to his unique writing style, Neel keeps developing multifaceted, not basic or flat characters; some you hate to love, some you love to hate. Elegantly written with immersive scenes, the second book in the series draws the reader in with a mixture of emotions. It's like a delicious meal you want to keep devouring: savory, sweet, delectable, and spicy...

For those who have ever had the incomplete feeling of unrequited love or felt as if you were never good enough to be someone special to anyone, the wording Neel uses to portray Galan's struggle evokes a deep, relatable feeling throughout the book. "Love is a form of suicide; you survive physically, but the rest of you die." Galan's unrelenting struggle for the love he so much desires made my heart drop several times (almost as brutally as those hearts that the Ripper dropped...)

Spice level: Reading the first sentence of a "spicy" scene, I was like 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 and then the proceeding sentences pushed the spice level, making it 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶(yes, 6!)/5!!!

I wish I could experience this series for the first time again, and I keep recommending it to everyone! As mentioned in my review of the first book, I could definitely see this becoming a movie or an adult anime.

Honored to be an ARC reader on this book!
