Long but so interesting! There were a few lulls and I think I would've liked a bit more at the end but overall, so engaging! I loved reading it a ton!

Wow, wow, WOW! I think I’ve enjoyed some parts of this even MORE than Tian Guan Ci Fu! This is such a wonderful story, it’s so original and dark. While I'll always love Xie Lian (and Hua Cheng), Wei Wuxian is simply the type of MC that ticks all my boxes. He’s quirky, he’s loyal, he’s principled, he’s funny, he’s shameless, he’s an obnoxious little shit, AND he controls corpses. He’s just so fucking precious. I LOVE that guy!

What a gem! These characters are amazingly flawed, which is a huge part of their charm. They make mistakes, they try to do the right thing, and they try to stay standing in a world that holds little patience for those it deems as targets. Wei Ying is such a fun character, and his brazen attitude had me laughing through the entire book. Each character has good and bad qualities, making their character arcs compelling and enthralling. Step into this world!

OMG I JUST FINISHED AND I ALREADY MISS THEM!!!!!!

OMG THIS NOVEL WAS PHENOMENAL I STILL CANT GET OVER IT!!!! IT HAD EVERYTHING I LOVED IN IT!!!
1. It was a fantasy novel.
2. It had a great story.
3. It was a historical fiction.
4. It was hella gay!!!!!!! and I loved it.

Each character was enjoyable even the villain' s (except Wen Chao, his father and that Wen Chao's gf, they didn't leave any lingering emotions in me).

The obvious chemistry between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji from the beginning and what it turned out be by the end was so enjoyable to read. Their journey was incredible. I CAN'T STOP PRAISING IT HELP!!!!!

No, but really the adventures in the novel were very exciting to read! The romance kept me on edge all the time right when you think it' s gonna go this way IT GOES TO HELL and then again to heaven.
