Very different sort of retelling... I'm interested in how the other fairy tales weave into the ongoing storyline.

Chanda Hahn continues to enchant readers in her second book in the Daughters of Eville series. Ever the word weaver, she charms readers with a delightful twist on the Cinderella story that any lover of the fantasy genre will enjoy. It's a refreshing take and the story has a nice flow to it. I look forward to reading book three when it comes out in 2020.

Fantastic retelling with interesting twists
This was a fantastic Cinderella retelling with some amazing twists. I have to admit some of them took me by surprise there at the end!
I loved Eden and her growth in this book, fantastic development there. Her use of magic was fun and interesting and different from book 1 which was great.

“Get the shoes, get the guy, and get revenge.”
i still felt it was too rushed like the previous book when the secret was finally revealed, and honestly it's quite boring too. i seriously don't feel any chemistry between Eden and Dorian, or even Eden and Evander, nothing at all. also, every time i read Dorian praise Eden with 'good girl' i cringe so hard, i don't like it, no, i hate it! i'm fine if it's only a few times, but i keep seeing it almost every time they're together, i just feel like it's not necessary at all, i mean the sparrow nickname is already cute, so why keep adding 'good girl' too?
anyway, i do quite enjoyed it, i guess... but i'm not sure whether to continue the series or not, there's still like 5 books next. well, we'll see 🙂
