this is one of the wackiest, worst romances i've ever read. melodramatic and corny to begin with and totally flies off the rails by the 50% mark. and i can overlook corny, i'm not too good for corny romances but
the handling of rape and mental illness? YIKES babes. as a certifiable loony bitch, hearing mia talk about "manic episodes" had me rolling my fucking eyes. you punched a wall, you're not bipolar love. and i can't begin to express how bizarre the handling of rape was. like truly, who thought this should be multiple major plot points???
i'm tired. and a lil upset that this is the last book i had to read for an otherwise really nice video. avoid. avoid. avoid. like seriously, even for a "dark" romance. you can do better.

It is very rare that a book will strike me dumb or speechless with its amazing quality. I'm quite positive that I can count on my one hand the number of those books, and this little gem right here belongs in that category.

Trust me when I say that this story needed to be read and felt in its entirety. Right from the start, the angst, oh my god, the angst of this story left me breathless. I find myself having trouble breathing because I felt so deeply with the story. Aside from personal reasons that took me a while reading this, the fact that I wanted to just savor and prolong my reading was one of the major reasons. Amazing, in my opinion doesn't fully describe what I felt.
"He wasn't just a guy. He was the guy capable of seeing me in a way no one else had."
At first, I didn't connect with Mia. Her personality in this story will push you away from her but once you get to know her, through her mind ramblings and the reason behind it, you will feel very protective of her like Ollie did. Mia is at the very core, a very strong young woman despite and in spite of the traumatizing moment that happened to her. Her fear is understandable and I loved how Ollie helped her overcome it.

"We were meant to be together, but this lifetime wasn't meant for us."
Ollie, sweet, sensitive Ollie. This young man will steal your heart with his compassion, sensitivity and beauty of his inner light. I can't express how hard I fell in love with his loving ways towards Mia; how he fights for her in every way. With the way the story ends in this first book, it's needless to say that I need the next installment. I love, love, love this! Can't recommend this enough!

Ex 2 : "You have to be all in with me" said only to be used later as "be all in let's not use protection" *gag* i hate this guy. Look to come off as assertive when he's just trying to dictate what he wants to the mc because he 'sees' the truth in her eyes.

Please read TW on this series before jumping in, but honestly this had me on the end ge of my seat! It was a great read! Boy falling first was just perfection! Definitely recommend!
