This is the first one from Nicole and she hit it right out of the park right off the bat. This was not at all what I was expecting. It was so much better. I was floored when I was done reading this one. 5 days later and I am now writing this review because I am still feeling the effects of this one. Just so many different emotions with this one. Mia where do I start with Mia. She is quite the character indeed. She ends up getting into trouble to where her step mother and father send her away to a reform school across the country. But is she really as bad as they think? You learn while reading this one that there is a lot going on with Mia that explains what is going on with her and explains why she is the way she is. Once she gets to this school facility she wants to stay to herself but the other people there will not let her. She ends up making contact with Ollie and things between these two heat up. But is it going to end well? This storyline was amazingly written. You will easily feel everything that Mia goes through and has gone through. You will understand why she is closed off and acts the way that she does. Her relationship with Ollie is something so special and you will want to cheer these two on. But I will warn you this is a huge cliff hanger. Nicole does leave you hanging wondering what is going to happen with Mia and Ollie. I don't know if I am going to survive until August wondering what is going to happen between these two. Just such an amazing book. I cant wait to see what the next one is like. A huge it from chapter one until the end. Highly recommend.
Just amazing! So powerful and different, definitely a fav for sure!
i was hooked but there was too much unnecessary drama that didn't make sense. could have been better.
I was really intrigued by this series, every one kept talking about it and i was not disappointed this book was really good, the romance, the topics.
This book gripped me especially Mia with her sociopath tendencies and her behavior. She is such a strong and badass character, she been through so much when she was young and she shut her feelings and has no emotions (or at least that's what she believes), what she really want is to feel again and she is scared.
Ollie is beyond nice he his the sweetest, i can't get enough of him. He is the opposite of Mia while Mia doesn't feel at all, Ollie, him feels too much and that was really interesting, i can't wait to see more about Ollie's own struggles and battles which i hope we will see in the next book (especially after this ending), He is really supportive and help Mia a lot with her own issues. This felt a bit like an insta love but i didn't mind because you could really feel the powerful connection they have from the beginning (and also in the EPILOGUE).
I fell in love with Nicole Fiorina's writing and her choice of words and the way she describes how having feelings feels like. This book deals with a lot of heavy stuff, but it was still very enjoyable. I really liked Mia's journey with her emotions resurfacing again and how she deals with her past. I can't wait to see how she deals her feelings being back in the later books.

This was...okay-ish methinks. It's probably just my mood but this didn't really summon much emotion from me while reading. Though I like the [ he feels too much while she feels nothing] concept, mostly bc the romance books that I read have it the other way around. The H and h also had an intense connection right from the start and were really into and all over each other, but I just wasn't really feeling it.
I also kinda feel like this was unnecessarily long and tedious. So I dunno if I'm invested enough to read the next books that are even longer than this one.

omg i don’t even know where to begin with this book. it was so good from the minute i started i could not put it down!! this was a lot darker then i thought it was going to be, so with that check tw before reading. But omg ollie and mia have my heart i love them both so much and all i want is for them to be happy. Also the epilogue had me in tears
This was a lot more intense and suspenseful than I was expecting, which is always a good surprise for me. I really love the whole idea of this story and I can’t wait to continue this series and see where it goes!
