"How is the light supposed to shine through your walls, Mia?"
Sadly beautiful and heartbreaking.

oh man
I don’t like writing bad reviews….. this book could have been hundreds of pages shorter and nothing would have changed. The monologues got really old really fast and everything was incredibly wordy. Mia is an immature brat. And the lack of continuity was giving me whiplash. Can she feel anything or not? I got to the point where I literally skimmed entire pages and just read dialogue.

honestly, i didn’t immediately love the book but, as i read it, i feel so deeply in love with mia and ollie and their story, their struggles and simply them. they’re amazing people who just had to deal with a shitty life but they balance each other out so good it’s amazing!!!

I LOVED this book. It is a bit slow to start but I finished it in 2 days, I couldn’t put it down - like stayed up until 2am reading when I had work the next day. Ollie is a nice change in a male love interest, he’s not hyper-masculine or dominant, he’s a softie and it’s refreshing. The ending is brutal but I’ll be starting the second book straight away and recommending this to everyone!
